American rapper Kanye West is scheduled to perform in Egypt for the first time on April 20, 2024, at the Giza Pyramids Plateau.

Muhammad Abdullah, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate, confirmed that the concert will proceed as planned.

This decision follows controversy surrounding calls to cancel the concert due to concerns about its artistic content.

The Syndicate, after receiving confirmation from security authorities, issued the necessary permit. Kanye West himself confirmed the event on his official Instagram story.

Following Egypt, West's tour will continue to Canada, Mexico, Spain, the UK, and the UAE, with stops in Kenya and Nigeria in December 2024, and Australia in January 2025, concluding in Japan in February.

With over 32 million albums sold and 100 million downloads worldwide, Kanye West is one of the music industry's top-selling artists, boasting 22 Grammy Awards.
